ainia is a Spanish, private, non-profit making association made up of business people in the agri-food industry and other related sectors. It was created in 1987 by these business people and by the Institute for Small and Medium-sized Valencian Industry (IMPIVA)
The Centre’s objective is to promote technological research and development, to increase production quality, improve competitiveness and encourage industries to modernise and diversify their interests by providing services to its members and carrying out public and/or contracted scientific research and technological development.
ainia has over 1000 member companies. It aims to take an active role in achieving excellence in companies through innovation, staying at the forefront of society’s demands and carving itself out a niche as a professional organisation which is recognised as a qualified, committed partner.
ainia has been working in anaerobic co-digestion technology since 2001, developing innovative projects whose common goal is to improve the efficiency of biogas production processes using agro-industrial organic waste.
