PHOTEK Ltd. is a specialist manufacturer of vacuum based tubes and camera systems for photon detection. The product range of this SME based in the UK includes: camera systems, image intensifiers, photomultiplier tubes, streak tubes plus a range of associated electronics. In particular, they are experts in large area and ultra-high speed imaging and advanced photon counting camera systems.
PHOTEK has been involved in the FP6 molecular imaging FORTH project “Integrated technologies for in-vivo molecular imaging” as well as the FP6 FLIN project “Long-Period Observation (LPO) of Single (Bio)-Molecular Motors by Novel Minimal-Invasive Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Nanoscopy”.
Finally, the company has also provided photon counting camera systems for biological research to a number of institutes around the globe including: Sainsburys Lab (UK), University of Missouri (USA) and Halle University (Germany).
