Biogas Fuel Cell S.A. (BFC) is a private company, based in Gijon, Spain, that was set up in 2003 to provide technological management services. BFCs main activity is the management of research and development projects related to production, processing and new applications of biogas. In order to achieve these high standards, BFC collaborates on projects in this field on a local to international level. In doing so, BFC has acquired valuable expertise in numerous topics concerning biogas production and conversion. Concerning BFC business area in the international market, one of its main objectives is the implementation of projects related to energy and environmental aspects, in Latin America and other countries, as well as obtaining carbon credits through the Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM), for reducing CO2 emissions, as is established in the Kyoto Protocol
